Curriculum Planning & Resources | Investment in online resources to support planning, e.g. My GCSE Science, Seneca Learning, GCSE Pod, etc.Opportunities to share planning & resources across the King Edward VI Academy Trust & other local academies due to well-established & utilised links.Additional collaborative planning time scheduled into the training & development calendar.Work for absent pupils set on MS Teams rather than physical copies having to be prepared.Subject material for PSHE & Careers are prepared & shared in advance for Form Tutors. Free quality CPD provided on a regular basis for Teaching Staff.10% PPA time. |
Behaviour Management | Tracking of behaviour & rewards is centralised in ArborData is shared weekly with Faculty Leaders removing the need for them to create & analyse their own departmental data. Centralised after school detentions are all supervised by pastoral team members.Staff members are allocated one duty per week.Parental contact & meetings are conducted by members of the pastoral team. External behaviour support based on site to allow for weekly drop-in sessions by staff members. Regular staff questionnaires allow for Staff Voice to be heard in a safe & supportive way. |
Communications | All staff have access to the whole staff calendar allowing them to plan in advance.Weekly briefing sheets act as a diary for the week which includes events, meetings & deadlines.There is one whole staff briefing once per week.There is no expectation on staff members to respond to e-mails outside of working hours.Staff members must communicate actions in a timely manner, taking work/life balance into account. |

Celebrating Staff Members | Nationally recognised days are celebrated in school, e.g. National Teaching Assistants Day, World Teachers Day, etc.Half-termly staff attendance raffle prize draws acknowledge where staff members have supported absent colleagues.Staff Champion’s Cup is announced in staff briefing every Monday to celebrate & acknowledge our colleagues. Appreciation days allow staff members to send cards of thanks & gratitude for the support & help of their team members reinforcing our belief that all staff members are valued here. End of half term staff social events are based on activities, e.g. go-karting, bowling, darts, etc. |
Looking After Staff Members | A dedicated Staff Wellbeing Lead appointed. Yearly anonymous Staff Wellbeing surveys allow for Staff Voice to be heard & acted upon.Staff Wellbeing Working Group meets once every half term where ideas are then shared & fed back to SLT.Refreshments are provided when staff members have commitments after school, e.g. Open Evening & Parents Evenings.Lunch provided on Staff Training Days.Staff breakfasts allow staff time to get together before the working day begins. Fitness suite is available for staff use after school. |
Supporting Staff Members | Meeting Free Week every term means no meetings or events planned before or after school. Termly Staff Wellbeing Workshops introduce staff members to different ways of supporting their own wellbeing, e.g. Meditation, Stress Awareness, Street Dance. Free termly yoga classes available for all staff on site.2 x Adult Mental Health Champions.Menopause Awareness Workshop informs staff on the support available & alleviates concerns or worries for the future.
