King Edward VI Balaam Wood Academy is delighted with the results achieved by our students in the summer. The progress that students have made since joining Balaam Wood measured from the end of primary (Key Stage 2) to the end of year 11 (Key Stage 4) has been a wonderful achievement especially with a big improvement in pupils gaining a standard pass in both English and Maths.

In the DfE performance tables, this is considered average for schools in England.
Attainment 8 Score – 35
Pupils attaining a Grade 4 in both English and Maths.
Standard Pass – 43%
Pupils attaining a Grade 5 in both English and Maths.
Strong Pass – 17%
Pupil destinations – 98% (Nearly all of our pupils who left in June 2017 have successfully stayed in further education)
